VLC Media Player beta was released a few days ago for Windows Phone. VLC was undoubtedly one of the most anticipated apps to come on to Windows Phone platform and after a really really long time it’s here. But, it is disappointing, to say the least. The app, though has a beautiful UI, is really buggy and isn’t as snappy as you would like it to be. The app DOES NOT play audio, which IS it’s sole purpose. The app looks to be promising though. It does manage to play most video formats but they lag like crazy. The app is feature rich to be honest. There is support for subtitles, play back speed, and audio settings are yet to come. All in all, we can see a bright feature rich app coming soon, but presently you aren’t missing much if you didn’t sign up for the beta.
